Upcoming Ultreya at St. James’, Yuba City

Upcoming Ultreya at St. James’, Yuba City

by St. James', Yuba City

The next Northern California Ultreya will be held on Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at St. James’ Episcopal Church in Yuba City. Ultreyas are a wonderful time of fellowship and affirmation of our love for our Lord.

Translated, the word Ultreya means "to go forward." Following a Cursillo (a Christian weekend retreat designed to deepen faith and build leadership), there is usually a "Grand Ultreya"--a first get together of Cursillistas (folks who have completed a Cursillo weekend). The Grand Ultreya is designed to bring folks from the most recent Cursillo together with Cursillistas from past Cursillos for continuing fellowship, prayer and music. Subsequent get togethers following the Grand Ultreya, like this one scheduled for June 2014, are simply called Ultreya.

When: Saturday, June 7th; 12:00 - 2:00 p.m.
Where: St. James’ Episcopal Church
556 North George Washington Boulevard
Yuba City, CA 95993

Cursillistas, please join us and bring your friends! The format is potluck, so please bring something to share for lunch. Jo Churchill (and group) will lead us in a few Cursillo songs and Phil Mulford will share a short witness memory.
