Upcoming Anti-Racism Trainings

Upcoming Anti-Racism Trainings

by Patricia Heinicke, Jr., Co-Chair, Commission on Intercultural Ministries, The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California

In the next few months there will be at least three opportunities to experience, “It’s More than Just Color,” the anti-racism training developed and presented by the diocesan Commission on Intercultural Ministries. Such training is now required for all licensed ministries.

Anyone in the diocese is welcomed to participate in any of the following anti-racism trainings:

1. Saturday, September 17 at St. Mary's, Napa: For more information, please contact the Rev. Don Callison at (707) 255-0991.

2. Saturday, October 8 at Good Shepherd, Susanville: For registration information please contact the Very Rev. Canon Mary Hauck at (530) 432-2557 or canonhauck@gmail.com.

3. Saturday, October 29 at All Saint's, Sacramento:  To register, go to http://allsaintssacramento.org/anti-racism (registration closes on October 21). For more information, please contact the Very Rev. Mary Hudak at revmary@stmichaelscarmichael.org.

Everywhere the Episcopal Church is present, a multiplicity of cultures are present, too. The Commission for Intercultural Ministries seeks to help your worshiping community welcome and appreciate the great diversity of people among and around us. Please join us!
