Successful CLC in Cameron Park

Successful CLC in Cameron Park

by The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California

The first 2015 Congregational Leadership Conference (CLC) was held at Faith Episcopal Church Cameron Park on Saturday, February 21st and was a huge success! With 106 people in attendance, the church was filled with congregational leaders eager to engage in trainings on Episcopal Evangelism, sharing our stories, financial best practices, vestry organization and disaster preparedness.

The event at Faith, Cameron Park was the first of four regional events which are open to all clergy, vestry members (new and experienced), treasurers and any other congregational leaders interested in opportunities to share, discover and learn innovative best practices used by congregations within your areas of ministry and your corner of the diocese (see future locations below). Pictured above is the Rev. Canon Andrea McMillin during her Vestry Organization workshop.

"Our most effective tool for evangelism in the Episcopal context is an invitation into our life as a church community. As we walk the Christian path together, our hearts, minds and lives are transformed more and more into Christ’s likeness. We discover this Christian identity through sacrament, relationship, service and learning. Join us to learn more about how you can articulate your congregation’s unique identity as a local expression of the church. Explore how to express that identity in compelling and invitational ways in your particular context." (from the Episcopal Evangelism Plenary with the Rev. Canon Andrea McMillin)
