Successful Capital Deanery Retreat

The weekend of August 22-24, 2014 the Capital Deanery, in partnership with the Diocesan Health Ministries, hosted “Come to the Water: A Retreat to Refresh & Renew.” The retreat was held at the Mercy Center in Auburn.

21 individuals from nine churches and three deaneries gathered for refreshment and renewal. Participants were introduced to the Living Compass Program ( Attendees completing two sections of the program "Rest/Play and Spirituality," as a way to find that water Jesus has promised. Jesus vowed that "anyone who is thirsty, let him come to me and drink. Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, rivers of living water will flow from within them." John 7:37-38.

The Living Compass Program will continue at an additional workshop held on October 4, 2014 at St. George’s Episcopal Church in Carmichael. Whether you attended the weekend retreat or not, ALL are invited to attend this event!
