  • Advent Appeal

    by Episcopal Community Services In 2013 Episcopal Community Services was able to help the congregations of this diocese serve Christ by serving others. We sponsored Bishop's Conference 2013 and gave out grants totaling $53,678. The congregations served were from all over the diocese from Sacramento to Arcata and included all sizes of churches from Trinity Cathedral to Quincy to Mt.

  • St. John's Shelters Fire Evacuees

    article and photo courtesy of St. John's, Marysville St. John's Episcopal Church in Marysville was transformed into a Red Cross emergency shelter to house over 20 people who lost their rooms when a local hotel and commercial building were destroyed by fire this weekend.  Red Cross called early the morning of Saturday, September 24 and could find no other place that would take the refugees.
