From the liturgy: O God, we know that every living thing is yours and returns to you. As we ponder this mystery we give you thanks for the life of the pets we have loved but see no longer. We entrust them into your loving hands. Even in our sorrow we have cause for joy for we know that all creatures who died on earth shall live again in your new creation.

You are invited and encouraged to bring pictures, collars, ashes, or other artifacts associated with your pet, to be placed on the altar rail during the service. After the service there will be refreshments (and lots of stories about our beloved animal companions). Please bring refreshments to share.
