Engaging CLC in Redding

Engaging CLC in Redding

by The Episcopal Diocese of Northern California

The second Congregational Leadership Conference (CLC) was held on Saturday, February 28th at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Redding and was a great success. 45 people gathered from across the Northwest corner of the diocese to focus on evangelism and to learn best practices for congregational leaders.

One first-time attendee shared that the entire experience was enjoyable and that they now had a lot of new information to digest and take back to their congregation. Attendees were excited to learn about the 2015 Bible Challenge and its focus on reading the Bible as a part of the Daily Office, and many were also very enthusiastic about the Evangelism workshops offered by the Rev. Canon Andrea McMillin.

Pictured above, the Rev. Paul Blanch, the newly installed Rector at All Saints', Redding, engages with other attendees in an activity as part of Canon Andrea's plenary discussion of evangelism as an invitation to transformation. The Rev. Blanch was formally installed as Rector at a joyful celebration that was held the night before the CLC in Redding.
