Praise God! Episcopal Community Services is honored to announce the 2012 Ministry Development and Lamb Grants.

Grants Awarded totaled $58,219.  For more information on any of the grant projects or how you can expand or begin an outreach ministry at your church please contact: Susan Swift Episcopal Community Services (ECS) Board President or Susan Wahlstrom, ECS Program Chair (email).

Church/Grant Project

1. St. Paul’s-Crescent City
Support Homeless Assistance Program
& Develop Emergency Preparedness Shelter

2. Christ Church-Eureka
Support for Children’s Music Program
(Transportation, Honoraria for Instructors)

3. St. Alban’s-Arcata
Scholarships for Camp Living Waters
Summer Camp

4. Shepherd by the Sea-Gualala
Support Outreach of Gualala Food Bank

5. St. Paul’s-Benicia
Funds to bring kitchen up to code to
continue Community hot meal ministry

6. Incarnation-Santa Rosa
To expand Open Table Ministry (Breakfast Ministry)
due to increased need and to expand services

7. Neighbors Organized Against Hunger (Rohnert Park)
Against Hunger (NOAH) office/distribution center

8. St. Andrew’s-Monte Rio
To support Program Coordinator salary for
St. Andrew’s Hot Meal/Food Distribution Ministry

9. St. Luke’s-Calistoga
To assist in covering expenses of obtaining
Pre-School Non-Profit 501 (c) (3) status

10. St. Nicholas-Paradise
To support expansion of Loaves & Fishes-
a hot meal/education/referral ministry

11. St. Barnabas-Mt. Shasta
To support the Senior Rides Program for the
Mt. Shasta Community (gas reimbursements for

To rehab facility to serve homeless, purchase
kitchen equipment, purchase personal care
items & develop emergency fund for people
in extreme crisis.

13. St. Matthew’s-Sacramento & St. Martin’s-Davis
Funding to support an Intern through the Lutheran/
Episcopal Volunteer Network (LEVN) to do outreach
Ministry in each parish.

14. St. Matthew’s-Sacramento
To provide stipend for Director of St. Matthew’s
Community Resource Center

15. Grants for Diocesan Deacons
#1. To support 2 Postulants to attend P.I.C.O. Training
For future outreach ministry development
#2. Fund Deacon’s Discretionary Fund for
Discernment process expenses

16. Trinity-Sutter Creek
Addressing Depression & Suicide Prevention in a
Rural County through Faith Communities

17. Epiphany-Vacaville
Hot Meal Ministry expansion creates a need
to purchase a professional dishwasher.

Lamb Grant

Incarnation-Santa Rosa
Incarnation Youth to provide Summer Camp for children
in Quito, Ecuador and grant covers travel expenses.
