BUDGET AND FINANCE

This committee’s responsibility includes drafting and presenting next year’s initial draft of the budget to the Board of Trustees, with a final budget due for approval by the Board of Trustees at their October meeting. The committee meets regularly to review the financial statements of the diocese.

CONGREGATIONAL DEVELOPMENT GROUP

This committee, formerly known as the Congregational Vitalization Committee, develops congregations and makes recommendations regarding the Burnett Fund. It also allocates new/emergent ministries funds. This committee may plan and put on special events, such as bringing Diana Butler Bass to the diocese.

DIOCESAN AUDIT

The diocese is required to have an Audit Committee to solicit and engage the auditor, perform the initial review of the audit draft, report to the Board of Trustees regarding the annual audit, evaluate audit issues and review accounting practice. Members may engage in an internal audit of diocese.

PROPERTY

This committee will be asked to evaluate and make recommendations regarding property decisions throughout the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California, and may be asked to assist churches with property issues.
