Affordable Care Act Regulation Changes

We have received notification from the Church Pension Group regarding recent Affordable Care Act regulations for employers. These regulations state that, effective January 1, 2015, employers must pay the full premium for any employees who choose to enroll in “EAP Only” (Employee Assistance Program) coverage, effective January 1, 2015. This premium is $5.00 per month, per employee.

If you have any employees currently enrolled in “EAP Only” coverage, you should have received an email with specific instructions on what steps you need to complete. If you did not receive these instructions, please email benefits@norcalepiscopal.org.

If you do not have any employees currently enrolled in “EAP Only” coverage, please review the information below regarding required protocols for any employees who may choose to enroll in “EAP Only” coverage in the future:

- Beginning January 1, 2015, the employer will pay the entire $5.00 premium for all employees enrolled in “EAP Only” coverage.

- Beginning January 1, 2015, employees who enroll in this “EAP Only” coverage will not be billed for any portion of this premium, nor will they have any of their payroll withheld to pay any portion of this premium.
