Saturday, May 3, 2014 the Church Divinity School of the Pacific, the Episcopal Diocese of California, and the Province VIII Youth Ministry Network are sponsoring a day-long conference of workshops focused on the theme of "transitions" in ministry with young people.
"Changing Lives: Ministry with Young People in Transition" is a special conference for those involved in ministry with children, youth or young adults. Keynote speaker the Rev. Dr. Rodger Nishioka will be presenting research on the transition from youth to young adult in the church.
The cost for the conference is $10.00 for a half-day or $25.00 for the full day, which includes lunch. Click here for more registration information.

Workshops will include: From Child to Teen: Moving with Youth Through the Tween Years; Confirmation: Theology and Practice of the Transition Sacrament; Intentional Community: The Work of the Church in Supporting Young Adults; Creative Storytelling and Multi-generational Ministry; and Music that Makes Community/All Saints Company, which will be offering several highly embodied, participatory workshops in creative liturgy, music, movement, puppetry, improvisational scripture drama and more.
Province VIII Youth Ministry Network also has funding to help subsidize travel costs. There is also limited space available for overnight guests accommodations at the Church Divinity School of the Pacific as well.
